Why Broadband Wireless?
Broadband Wireless networks are now robust, reliable and secure. What's more, they can offer several advantages over other technologies:
Description
Dedicated wireless service packages are available in speeds starting from 2 Mbps up to 1 Gbps. The majority of our wireless installs are license-exempt, which means that our products can be deployed without the need for regulatory approval. Some installs operate in the licensed frequencies.
Typically, customers are serviced by placing a 12 – 24” digital microwave antenna on the roof of their building. Data traffic is routed via wireless transmission to an antenna on a nearby hub site building or tower (Point of Presence) which has a direct line of sight to the antenna at the customer location. POP 's are main aggregations points for wireless traffic and they supply customers with high-speed redundant Internet connectivity.
Following a site survey and securing roof right permissions, wireless technicians will install and pre-configure all wireless equipment and cabling. They also provide the customers with static routable IP addresses and several e-mail accounts.
Wireless Security
There are many types of wireless networks, including simple router-based networks which can be easily hacked into by intruders. However, the wireless networks that Unimaxx chooses use sophisticated encryption for a level of security that is even higher than demanded by the federal government or banks.
Wireless and Weather
Adverse weather can affect wireless communications at high frequencies (higher than 10 GHz), or long distances, but it will not affect your wireless connection since it operates in the lower frequency bands.
Professional technicians and engineers have designed the network with such a large margin to virtually eliminate the impact of weather on network performance.
